No Designer Haircuts!

A dog's coat is for protection from the elements. The purpose of a dog grooming day is to care for the coat in a way that respects the coat's purpose and to keep the dog comfortable, from the dog's perspective. Out of respect for your fur-baby, I do not offer designer haircuts.

Stress-Free!

I take the time to make sure your fur-baby has a positive experience while at the spa. Their comfort comes first, this means I may give your pup more breaks and take more time than expected.  If I am running longer than expected, I will text you with an updated pick-up time.

Timing
I do not rush your dog through a grooming session. I watch for body language cues from your dog and groom them at their pace, giving breaks whenever needed, so that they will have a relaxing Spa Day! Please allow for a grooming session of
2-3 hours for small pup,
3-4 hours for medium size  pup,
4-5 hours for a large pup
Timing also depends on the condition of their coat, i.e., matting and length.

Why do groomers price Doodles Differently?

The coats of poodle mixes are a genetic "roll–of–the–dice" with each breeding. Poodle coats are dominated by the anagen, or growth phase of hair, and each individual hair may grow for years. The hair shafts are curly. The results of a mix can create complicated coat when bred to a retriever or other breed with a heavily–shedding double coat. In many cases, the doodle coat is so thick that it is nearly impossible to get a clipper through it, even when properly prepped. With that in mind, doodle coats require extra care, prep and styling.
